My apologies if this is off-topic, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to ask this question. This page looks great, and I think its tabbed layout could be a very helpful tool for tourists looking to explore not only Haifa but New York, London, Paris, and practically any other city (or even country). Is there a Wikimedia project dedicated to creating pages like this one for tourist destinations? If not, are there plans to create one in the near future? Not that I know of. There are various wiki projects unrelated to the Wikimedia Foundation which are trying to create a sort of wiki travel guide. I'm sure google or similar engines can find them for you. Harel 07:47, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Wikitravel is probably what you are looking for. http://wikitravel.org This project is not related to the Wikimedia Foundation, but it works more-or-less along the lines of Wikipedia. DrorK 14:49, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

WiFi

Would you mind adding a section on WiFi and telecoms options? I'm assuming that you will have WiFi at the venue, and I wouldn't be surprised if you manage to be the first Wikimania where the Wifi works and isn't swamped by being far more heavily used than the installers thought possible. But many of us will be travelling before or after and it would be really useful to know what the options are for picking up a mobile broadband while in Israel. My mobile broadband costs me £15 a month in the UK for each 2gb I use that month, and if it is possible I would like to get an Israeli prepaid mobile dongle for August.
