Getting to the Venue from Train Stations

 
If possible, have this paper printed
In order to ease the process of getting from the train stations by taxi, fixed prices were determined in advance by Wikimania local team in cooperation with the stations managers. The prices are for all the different destinations attendees should get to in all hours of the day. It is highly recommended to have the paper telling everything about it printed and to show it to the taxi driver upon entering the cab.
  • The prices are for a joint ride of up to 4 people including the entire luggage.
  • When less than 4 people enter the cab, the price for the ride remains the same.
  • Taking a taxi from the Haifa Hof-HaCarmel station, Wikimania attendees may pay in American Dollars according to the prices mentioned in the paper.

Getting to the Venue from Hof HaCarmel (Haifa Beach) Train Station

The train arrives at platform 1 of the station.

If you intend to take a taxi, exit the station to the west (sea side). There is a taxi station about 30 meters in front of you. The ride should cost 45 NIS or 13.5 USD.

If you intend to take a public bus:

  • Go downstairs and cross to into the main station building. When exiting the station, facing north - the central bus station will be on your right. Use the tunnel to enter the Station.
  • Use bus number 3, 133 to the Carmel Centre.
  • Get off on the first Station of Hanassi Ave. (ask the driver to tell you where to get off). The Venue is 2 minutes walk from the bus station.

Bus ride is between 25 - 40 minutes.

Getting to the Venue from Haifa Merkaz (Haifa Central) Train Station

If you intend to take a taxi, cabs can be found in all hours of the day just in front of the train station exit. The ride should cost 40 NIS.

If you intend to take the subway (in operating hours):

  • Cross the street from the station and turn left. Walk about 500 meters along HaAtzmout Rd. and turn right on Eliyahu St. Walk about 90 meters - the underground (Carmelit) station will be in front of you.
  • Take the underground (Carmelit) to Gan Haem (the last station).
  • Upon exiting the station - walk south along Hanassi Avenue on the right side of the street for about 50 meters, cross the intersection of Hanassi Ave. and Derech Hayam. Continue walking south on Hanassi Ave. for 50 more meters, the venue will be in front of you.

Getting to the Venue from Har HaCarmel Hotel (Mount Carmel Hotel)

Mount Carmel hotel is located at 103 Derech Hayam St.

A shuttle bus will be provided during the conference time. At other times, use public transportation to the Carmel Center, or walk to the venue (about 20 minutes walk): walk upwards on Derech Hayam Street, pass a circular square and continue until you reach the intersection with Shoshanat HaCarmel St. (500 meters) and turn right. Walk up the stairs (about 50 meters), and the venue will be on your left.

Or (a bit longer but simpler) - walk upwards on Derech Hayam Street until you reach the street lights at the intersection with HaNassi Ave. (about 550 meters) turn right, walk about 50 meters, the venue will be on your right.

Getting to the Venue from Nof Hotel/ Dan Panorama Hotel

Nof Hotel is located at 101 Hanassi Ave.; Dan Panorama Hotel is located in the next building - 107 HaNassi Avenue.

To reach the venue, cross the street and walk south along HaNassi Avenue for about 350 meters (seven minutes). You will cross the intersection with Derech Hayam Street. Walk an additional 50 meters - The venue will be in front of you.

Getting to the Venue from Dan Carmel Hotel

Dan Carmel Hotel is located at 87 Hanassi Ave.

To reach the venue, cross the street and walk south along HaNassi Avenue for about 650 meters (12 minutes). You will cross the intersection with Derech Hayam Street. Walk an additional 50 meters - The venue will be in front of you.

Getting to the Venue from Ganei Dan (Dan Gardens) Hotel

Ganei Dan Hotel is located at 124 Yaffe-Nof Street.

Walk south (right) from the hotel 25 meters until you reach Wedgwood Street (do not turn down mountain (left) to Kish Street but rather up mountain (right)). Walk West along Wedgwood St. (300 meters) until reaching HaNassi Ave. The Venue will be across the street from you.

Getting to the Venue from Crown Plaza Hotel (Holiday Inn)

Crown Plaza Hotel (Holiday Inn) is located at 111 Yaffe-Nof Street.

One option: Walk north (right) from the hotel 55 meters until you reach the Panorama Tower. Turn left, walk 20 meters along Shaar Halevanon Street until you reach HaNassi Ave. Cross the street and walk south (left) about 200 meters (crossing the intersection with Derech Hayam on the way). The Venue will be in front of you.

Second option: Walk south (left) from the hotel 55 meters until you reach Wedgwood Street (do not turn down mountain (left) to Kish Street but rather up mountain (right)). Walk west along Wedgwood St. (300 meters) until reaching HaNassi Ave. The Venue will be across the street from you.

Getting to the Venue from Vila Carmel

Vila Carmel Hotel is located at 1 Heinrich Heine St. Haifa (Off 30 Moriah Blvd.)

When exiting the hotel turn right, walk along Hamayim Street until you reach Moria Ave.

Turn left and walk north along Moria Ave. about 500 meters until you reach the venue.

Getting to the Venue from Dorms
